About the people behind Let's Stay Yorkshire Dales
A friendly family service...
Let’s Stay Yorkshire Dales was launched in May 2005 by Sam Shimeld a graduate in Business & Marketing from Sheffield Hallam University. The website is very much a family concern with Sams dad (John) also highly involved. As well as Sam and John other members of the family have also contributed with Sams mum Maureen keeping a close eye on the accounts & Sams sister Laura contributing the writing of many articles which are featured on the site.
As well as the Yorkshire Dales site Sam also launched two other web-based businesses; Let’s Stay North York Moors & Let’s Stay Lake District. With the help of John, the websites have gradually been developed over the past few years, and now come top of the reults pages in all major search engines including Google, Yahoo and MSN.
“My aim is to make each website the best on-line tourist guide available in the area, providing tourist businesses with a first class service which helps them prosper.”
Sam Shimeld, October 2006
Sam was born in Sheffield, but moved to North Yorkshire in 1995 and is now still living just outside the North Yorkshire Moors National Park on the edge of the Cleveland Hills in a small village called Ingleby Cross.
“If you are an existing customer, an old customer or a new customer please do not hesitate to get in touch, I’m always willing to listen, give advice or generally be as helpful as I can!”
Sam Shimeld, July 2007
