Details: Arklehurst is a traditional stone built 18th century cottage offering exceptionally warm and cosy accommodation for up to four people. Set in the tiny jewel of a village of Langthwaite, in Arkengarthdale, the cottage is furnished and equipped to the highest possible standard. The roomy dining kitchen, with quality pine dining table, chairs and dresser, has an old-fashioned original range as focal point.

Nestling in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Langthwaite is an ideal centre for walking, mountain biking, touring the Northern Dales or simply relaxing. It is the picture postcard village of the Dales and has been the setting for many television programmes and films including ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ and ‘A Woman of Substance’. A car is considered essential for stays in Arkengarthdale, as there is no bus service within the dale (Swaledale buses stop in nearby Reeth). Nearest shops are at Reeth, 3 miles. Pub in village.

Accommodation:
Ground Floor: large dining kitchen. Through to living room, with multi-fuel stove set in a period stone fireplace.
First Floor: double bedroom. Shower room, with electric shower and shaver point. Twin bedroom.

Facilities: Fitted kitchen with standard features, fridge/freezer, microwave, iron/ironing board and slow cooker. Electric storage heaters in kitchen and bedrooms, while living room has multi-fuel stove (all fuel provided, coalhouse opposite cottage). Stereo CD player and Sky TV. Bedlinen and teatowels included in the rent (sorry, personal towels are not included). Parking opposite the village pub. No smoking or pets, please.
