The market towns of Leyburn and Hawes, and local pubs, restaurants and tea rooms are all close by, and whole of the Yorkshire Dales with its numerous attractions, activities and splendid views are within easy driving distance. Carperby is set on the sunny, south-facing slope of Wensleydale and offers fine views. From the village it is just a pleasant stroll to Aysgarth Falls, and Bolton Castle.

The cottages have been created by a tasteful conversion of Manor Farm, a former Dales working farm, and retain much of the original character and charm. Access is also available to the adjacent small wood.

Granary Cottage(sleeps 8) Retains much of the original character, including beams, and is extremely well equipped and furnished to provide comfortable accommodation of a very high standard. Ground floor: entrance hall, shower room with large shower cubicle, WC, wash hand basin and heated towel rail. Sitting room with corner stone fireplace with electric fire/natural fire, coal supplied, dining room with floor length windows, well equipped fitted kitchen.
