Details: HAZEL’S ROOST is situated in a quiet corner of Bainbridge with private parking for guests. Formerly the Blacksmith’s workshop on the ground floor with Cobbler’s shop above, this building has been converted into a home offering very comfortable accommodation.

Accommodation: The first floor is solely for guests use and comprises of Two double rooms, plus one twin bedded room with outer door giving guests their own private entrance. There is a Bathroom with power shower, toilet, wash basin and bath. Plus a separate toilet and hand basin. Each room is newly decorated in its own individual cottage style & include Colour TV, Large wash basins, Luggage space, Full length mirrors, Comfortable beds, Tea and coffee making facilities plus many little extra personal touches.

We are an Ideal base for fishing, walking, touring, riding centre nearby. Spectacular views from every angle. This is a friendly, welcoming comfortable place to stay, offering a good variety of mainly locally produced food for a hearty Dales breakfast. Hazel born in Bainbridge, a farmers daughter and John, born in Reeth, Swaledale, a retired butcher takes pride in ensuring that guests leave hoping to come back, many do. After 27 years in buisness it would seem that Hazel and John know what people like.

Local Area: Bainbridge, one of the prettiest villages in the Yorkshire Dales, is steeped in history. There is a broad village green complete with village stocks, playground and a quoits pitch. A Grade 2 Listed bridge spans the shortest river in England, all overlooked by Brough Hill, the site of an un-excavated Roman fort. The Rose and Crown, a 15th century coaching inn, provides bar meals, snacks or a full dinner. There is also a garage (which sells daily and Sunday newspapers), shop, tearoom, hairdresser and restaurant. Yorebridge House, a luxury boutique hotel, bar and restaurant, situated by the river on the outskirts of the village, is open to non-residents.
