Just a five minute walk away is the pretty village of Middleton, with its excellent pubs and hostelries, whilst Barnard Castle with its historic castle and thriving market is also nearby. The many footpaths and bridleways of the area make this an excellent holiday location for walkers and cyclists of all abilities, the varied scenery ensuring that there is something for everyone.
Accommodation: Two bedrooms: 1 x spacious double, 1 x twin. Bathroom with bath (electric shower over), washbasin & WC. Well-equipped, farmhouse style kitchen/diner with sitting area and open fire. Sitting room with wood-burning stove. Porch - ideal for walking boots and jackets. Oil fired central heating and additional heating from open fire in kitchen, wood-burning stove in sitting room and storage heater in bathroom. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, colour TV, DVD, radio, stereo/CD player, library of books and games. Electricity and power inc. in rent. Initial supply of fuel for open fire and wood-burner inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Parking available on opposite side of the road. Small, enclosed garden with patio and garden furniture. Pets welcome (must be kept downstairs at all times). Sorry, no smoking. Shops and pubs 5 minutes walk.
