Settle Lodge is within easy walking distance to the middle of the historic market town of Settle with its interesting mix of shops, restaurants and pubs. Built in 1896 by a wealthy quarry owner, this fine Victorian house has commanding views over the town and surrounding fells including Pen-y-ghent in the distance which is one of the Three Peaks in the Yorkshire Dales. The guest house has been recently refurbished in a contemporary style and includes oak flooring in the dining room, fully tiled en-suites, quality beds and flat screen digital TVs as standard in all our bedrooms. We also pride ourselves in providing great breakfasts using locally sourced quality ingredients.

We have a private car park for guests with transport and we are also within easy walking distance of the train station for those without. Settle Lodge is an excellent base for people wanting to explore the Yorkshire Dales by car or rail; walk the Three Peaks; travel on the famous Settle - Carlisle railway, or simply relax.

From our doorstep you can walk up the hill to the beautiful Attermire Scar. 5 miles away are Malham Cove and Gordale with their spectacular scenery. As outdoor enthusiasts ourselves we can provide advice on walking, mountain biking and climbing in the area. We also provide safe storage for bikes.

A short drive away you have the lovely Dales villages of Ingleton, Dent, Grassington and many others to explore. This is real “Heartbeat” country. The...
