A 1pm takeover means an early start to your holiday aboard one of our superb narrowboats in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales. With 3 week circular cruises and a choice of one week cruises available, you enjoy a wide choice of options for making the most of Yorkshire's historic waterways, and there is 30-years' worth of experienced and friendly advice available at our family-run boatyard.

Our Boats: All our boats come equipped with full central heating, hot water, toilets, (two on larger boats), shower, full-sized fridge and cooker and colour TV as standard. Bed linen is included as well as a full tank of diesel and gas. Berths range from two to twelve persons and all have cruiser style sterns. Sizes range from 47ft to 60ft in length. Pets are welcome on board – there is as mall charge for a dog.

The Routes

Travelling West you encounter Skipton, gateway to the Dales and beyond this the beautiful Yorkshire Dales scenery with its rugged moorland, limestone caves and gorges leading into the industrial towns of Burnley and Blackburn. At East Marton the canal towpath combines with the Pennine Way for a few miles, which together with numerous other footpaths, gives the hiker a chance to explore the dales on foot, using the boat as a base for walking.

Travelling East towards Leeds you can visit the Haworth Parsonage home of the Brontes sisters, or visit Saltaire the Victorian model village built by Sir Titus Salt for his mill workers.

For a one week hire you may cruise to Foulridge and experience the tunnel, before turning to cruise and visit the famous Five Rise Locks at Bingley with the even more famous lock-keeper: Barry Whitelock. Alternatively, you may wish to cruise west through the village of Kildwick and on to the market towns of Skipton and Gargrave in the Yorkshire Dales. The return trip will complete your week’s cruise.
