It has its own private entrance and its own woodland garden, which leads down to a salmon pool, through a small wood.This is a fantastic natural swimming pool where visitors can take a refreshing dip or just rest beside. (Salmon and trout fishing available on request.There is a 2 mile stretch of trout fishing available along the river Ure, aswell as a long stretch for Salmon fishing. It is high quality fishing).
There are spectacular walks from the door , both Aysgarth Falls and Bolton Castle are within easy walking distance ,as well as a variety of walks up Penhill.Why not cross the stepping stones and walk to Bolton Castle for tea? Or continue downstream and visit the rarely visited Redmire Falls? Perhaps walk to the 12th century Knights Templar chapel, a short walk up Penhill.Once up Penhill panaramic views lie at your feet...
The traditional market towns of Leyburn and Hawes are both nearby and there is a good village shop in West...
Burton.( one and a half miles).There is also a newly opened Farm shop and cafe at Swinithwaite Hall ,less than a mile away There are numerous excellent pubs and restaurants within easy reach, ranging from the gastronomic, to good local pub food. Other places of interest close by are the Blacksheep Brewery in Masham, the world famous Wensleydale Creamery in Hawes as well as Jervaulx Abbey. There are other numerous places to visit within the local area.

Ground floor:The Bothy has its own entrance hall, which is stone flagged and contains a washer/dryer . Stairs from the hallway lead up to a beautifully appointed set of rooms. These consist of a spacious living/dining/kitchen area which has a Clearview wood burning stove with a stone log store .The bespoke kitchen area consists of a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and an electric oven with 4 hobs.It is fully equipped. There is also a comfortable seating area and dining area, which has a flat screen TV, DVD, CD and radio. Throughout the Bothy the fittings and furnishings come mainly form Laura Ashley and Oka. The restful wall colours are from Farrer and Ball.The views from the windows are stunning looking towards Bolton Castle and the hills.You can enjoy the views from the comfort of your sofa!
The double bedroom has a 5'double bed with a zip and link(15oo sprung mattress with memory foam).There is a fitted wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is a window seat with a view which looks over the garden towards the river. There is an en suite bathroom with a bath and a powerful overhead shower.There are old beams and rustic features throughout.
