The Devonshire is a 12 bedroom hotel which lends itself to be warm and homely and all the staff is dedicated to making your stay one of the best. All 12 bedrooms are plush and the family rooms offer in house entertainment.

The lounge offers more formal dining and the art work was chosen by the Duchess of Devonshire, so one for the art critics. If informal is your style, eat and drink in the cosy bar or why not pop in for a coffee in the newly refurbished conservatory. Relax with the papers, the kids can entertain themselves with the board games courtesy of the Devonshire, they really do try to think of everything.

The conservator offers stunning views over the river, the village of Bursall and across the stunning Yorkshire Dales.

Their sister hotel, The Devonshire Health Barn, 6 miles away on the opposite side of the road, offers you use of their excellent facilities which range from vary various types of pools, sauna, steam room, to tennis to mountain bikes. So whether you want to totally relax, or whether you want to push your limits, there is something for everyone at the hotel's alone.

Skipton itself has been voted in the past the best High St of the year beating off competition from the likes of Kensington High Street, so come on girls, let's go shopping.
