Details: The Kings Arms Hotwl is situated in the centre of Reeth, capital of Swaledale, overlooking the village green, with extensive views down the valley from most of the bedrooms and bar. Affectionately known locally as the 'Middle House', the date-stone above the front door testifies to 1734. There is an extensive menu, an olde worlde bar and dining room with an imposing log fire and, in keeping with modern day standards, comfortable en-suite guest bedrooms. Perfect!

The Hotel is of stone construction on three floors. The Ground floor is home to the inglenook Bar and Dining Room - a popular meeting place where locals and visitors exchange tales or gather to listen to varied live music on some evenings. A full bar and dinner menu is offered seven days a week from 12 noon until 2.30pm and from 6pm until 9.30pm.

With all the ingredients for the perfect break, Reeth, “A jewel set in heather”, is less than 15 miles from the A1 and an ideal base from which to visit the Lake District, North York Moors, the East Coast and of course the stunning nearby Georgian town of Richmond where a night at the theatre takes place in one of the smallest venues in the country! There is racing nearby at Catterick, Thirsk, Ripon and York and the energetic walkers will be drawn to both the River Swale and its many well signed walks as well as the magnificent scenery, caves and waterfalls to be experienced on the Coast to Coast path.
