Outside a pergola framed with honeysuckle and clematis, provides a secluded sitting area with an excellent view. There is a cast iron table, with four chairs, and chiminea - excellent for dining al fresco and catches the afternoon and evening sun. There is also a further south facing patio area to the front of The Piggery.
The large garden and meadow is shared with visitors to The Old Goat House. There are various places to sit, eat out and enjoy the panoramic views of Wensleydale.

The Piggery is a little gem, am so glad I came across it on the Internet. I wanted somewhere cosy and romantic for my husband's birthday and this was perfect. Too many good things to mentionabout The Piggery itself and the area around here is wonderful, ao much to see and do. Attention to detail is amazing and impressed with the food provided for breakfast.

We had a great time in The Piggery. Annette was very welcoming and we enjoyed the walk to Askrigg. Just stayed the 1 night on our Yorkshire tour, but really enjoyed the unusual and special accommodation.

What a great place! We would recommend all local castles: Richmond, Middleham and Bolton. Also try footpath leading up from Thornton Rust. The best treat was the stars, sitting out on the comfy chairs one dark, clear night - there are millions to be seen. What can we say about The Piggery apart from FANTASTIC! We wanted a few days away from the 'rat race' and couldn't have found a more perfect place. Annette is a wonderful host and made us feel very relaxed. We will be back.
What a wonderful holiday! The Piggery is a perfect place for exploring - we had walks to Askrigg and Aysgarth and day trips to local market towns. Enjoyed luches in glorious pubs. So comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Cozy, peaceful and private.
