Details: Originally a 16th century Ferryman's inn, the Red Lion at Burnsall is open for accommodation and meals throughout the year; we offer superb food, fine wines and real ale.

Accommodation: There are just 25 bedrooms each with its own individual character and decor - successfully combining ancient and modern. Gleaming bathrooms, Victorian brass beds, beamed ceilings & antique furniture. Most of the rooms also offer wonderful views to the river and the fells beyond. The sitting room is the ideal place to relax with aperitifs before dinner, coffee afterwards, or just with a good book in front of the roaring log fire.

Food & Drink: The main bar incorporates the original 16th Century structure of the Ferrymans Inn. Traditionally panelled and floored in Oak by local craftsmen - the bar is a popular meeting and eating place for villagers and guests alike. We serve a wide selection of cask conditioned real ales and fine wines to be enjoyed along with an extensive brasserie menu.

Weddings: We are privileged to be able to offer you the opportunity to hold your wedding reception and civil marriage ceremony at the Lion. Toast your new life with family and friends on our lawns and terraces which run down to and border the river forming the perfect backdrop for wedding photography.

Business: Three recently built conference rooms are available to hire combing the best of business facilities with the ambience and character of a traditional country village Inn. The rooms have Broadband and all the usual audio visual equipment.

Party’s & Functions: The Garden room can seat up to 35 guests, The Riverside Room 40 guests, and the Terrace Room can seat 50 guests. You may have the use of all rooms for large parties. They are all beautifully decorated with oak flooring, and paneling & there are also separate bar and toilet facilities in these rooms for your private use.
