The Yorkshire Dales is an ideal location for anyone looking for a holiday or short break, coupled with activity, adventure and excitement. You can take part in walking, fishing, climbing, boating, bird watching, hand gliding, to name but a few! There are also caves and pot holes to explore or for something to really gets the adrenaline flowing, how about getting an aerial view of the dales from a hot air balloon! There are riding schools for the horse enthusiasts with opportunities for trekking and organised hacks in the lovely countryside.
There are towns and villages with unusual and interesting shops, and many local home grown products are available, and through out the tourist season there are regular markets, antique and craft fairs. These are always attractive and filled with curious and unique gifts.
