Arts & Crafts

The Yorkshire Dales boasts much in the way of arts and crafts throughout the Dales and in the neighbouring regions, and whether visiting an art gallery, craft fair or a quaint craft shop, all tastes are catered for. The region preserves many skills relating to craft, skills that have been passed through generations and are still practiced today. The Wensleydale and Swaledale craft workshop is a great place to see examples of both modern and traditional styles of crafts. South west of the Yorkshire dales, near Wakefield, is the Yorkshire Sculpture park which covers over 500 acres and attracts visitors from around the globe.
