Museums
The Yorkshire Dales and surrounding regions have a complex history, and particular cultures and skills relating to local crafts and industries have originated here. The areas museums give visitors a chance to experience the traditional ways of the Dales and to learn about other fascinating parts of the world. The Yorkshire Dales Countryside museum tells the true story of the Dales and is great family outing, located in the old railway station at Hawes. Other museums offer an incite into the mining industry or give you the chance to visit a Victorian parlour or Cobbler's workshop like the Nidderdale museum at Pately Bridge.
