Theatres & Entertainment
The Yorkshire Dales and surrounding regions have plenty in the way of entertainment. Theatres, music halls, venues and band stands can be found all across the region. In recent years there's been a growth in music festivals in the area, often taking place over a number of different venues and catering for a particular style or genre of music. An example of one of these festivals is the Swaledale Festival, covering classical music, art and poetry. The Victoria Centre at Settle is a theatre housed in a Grade 2 listed building with its own amateur group and lots of plays, Richmond also has a theatre. If cinema is more your thing Leyburn, Skipton and Pately Bridge all have screens.
