Wildlife & Nature
The Yorkshire Dales cover a vast area of land and is one of only a handful of officially recognised National Parks in the UK. The Dales and surrounding regions are host to a wide selection of wildlife, from the incredibly rare to the common favourites. Wading birds require very specific habitats, not found in many parts of the UK but are often seen in the Dales. The fauna is something special too, and in some corners of the Dales you can find whole fields completely covered in wild flowers like wild violets and wood anemones. The important thing to remember is that all this fantastic wildlife, fauna and fauna is protected by law, and the land will never be commercially developed.
