Barnoldswick

Barnoldswick is an historic Anglo Saxon town built on the side of Weets Hill between Ribblesdale and Airedale in the stunning Pennine hills.

The town centre has a rich heritage and the now preserved Bancroft Mill Engine Steam Museum stands as a proud reminder of its industrial past. Visitors are treated to regular steaming days where the full impact of the machines can be experienced. There are also numerous shops and places to eat and drink within the town.

The Anchor Inn is a well visited attraction not just for its excellent hospitality but a place where visitors call to gaze and wonder at the stalactites and stalagmites formed in the cellar by the water which drips through the old limestone floor.
