Sedbergh is located on the Western edge of the Yorkshire Dales in East Cumbria and close to the Lake District National Park.  A picturesque market town with a strong rural and traditional influence, Sedbergh's winding cobbled streets and endless rolling hills offer the perfect place for a relaxing break, or for walking and enjoying the great outdoors.

Local industry has always revolved around farming and milling wool.  Previously the town was fairly inaccessible due to the steep hills that surround it but the introduction of the railways brought new industry and economy to the area.
