Wensleydale Creamery reaches twenty year milestone
The well known Yorkshire Dales cheesemaker, Wensleydale Creamery has just celebrated the twenty year anniversary of the founding of its Milk Producer Group. The group now has over forty farms in the area supplying milk for the creamery and is on the lookout for more farms to join it.

Teen Athlete is selected for GB despite illness.
A 19-year-old triathlete has defied the odds and an illness, to be selected to represent Great Britain in the upcoming World Triathlon Championships. The event will take place in Mexico in mid-September.

Probably not but that is all about to change because my dear golfing companions The Pennines Golf Trail has come into being to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Pennine Way.

Yorkshire Dales National Park to be Extended
It will not be the first time that the English country side has seen its borders and boundaries changed, West Riding, East Riding, these have now gone, names changed and so it will be from the 1st of August this year that the Yorkshire Dales shall be extended by quite a distance, 188 square miles to be precise.

Ever since the Grand Depart came to Yorkshire, the Yorkshire Bank who prides itself in being "local" has taken a serious interest in trying to get the children of Yorkshire away from their gadgets and out into the fresh air on a bike.

High Speed Broadband for the Yorkshire Dales
The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority's planning committee has given the green light to erect four new broadband masts at West Witton which will bring superfast broadband to hundreds of homes and businesses in the Wensleydale area.
