Full Description: Bedale is a typical, unspoilt, thriving market town which provides a nucleus for the many smaller villages and residential locations close by. It has a regular weekly market selling many local and traditional products, along with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables grown locally.

It lies between The North Yorkshire Moors and The Yorkshire Dales it is also close to Thirsk which is James Herriot Country and still maintains those close links remembering many a veterinary tale. Because of its location Bedale makes a good base to explore the surrounding countryside. It is close to major road links making travel and further exploration easily accessible.

There is a central Market Place which features a cobbled free parking area there are many shops which supply a variety of food produce, along with gift shops and something to suit those looking for an original item. Bedale has a leisure centre, a golf club, there is a museum and an original Water Wheel which was used to produce Flour in the mill.
