Full Description:
Bolton Abbey is a very popular attraction in the Yorkshire Dales, it is renowned for its abbey you can enjoy a walk in the ruins there are many other attractions including a steam railway.
The woodland and surrounding walks are very beautiful there are specific nature trails and designated walks, the scenery is stunning. A natural disaster from hundreds of years ago has created a tranquil, unique environment.
The estate is privately owned but its land is enjoyed by thousands of visitors every year mile upon mile of footpath with wonderful views. It’s a haven for nature lovers with a variety of birdlife and small animals and an abundance of colour mixed in the flora and fauna.
The parish church is still in use although a lot of the original building is now in ruins, refreshments are available and there is a model steam railway which is fully operational and quiet charming.
