Chapel-le-Dale is a wide deep valley in the Yorkshire Dales, which runs between Ingleton and the Yorkshire Dales moors. It includes the spectacular Ribblesdale Viaduct and lies close to the world famous Yorkshire Three Peaks.

Whernside and Ingleborough, part of The Three Peaks, are both situated within the dale and the wonderful and unique limestone landscape, with caves, scars and picturesque dry stone walls is only surpassed by the spectacular waterfalls which tumble down the hillsides.

Walking, climbing and cycling are favourite pastimes of visitors to the valley, and there is no shortage of footpaths and bridleways, including the Yorkshire Three Peaks Walk, The Dales Highway and the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail to conquer. Other favourite tourist attractions in the area are the Settle to Carlisle Railway, the Ribblesdale Viaduct and the White Scar Caves.

The villages have no shortage of bed and breakfast and self catering accommodation from which to base a walking holiday, and with a number of ancient inns and traditional village pubs offering excellent beers and home cooked food it is an ideal location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and its rich history and heritage.
