Full Description: Clapham is a village ideally located in the Yorkshire Dales. Through the centre of the village runs Clapham Beck, which emerges from hills close by runs down through the hills and then into the village and beyond.

There are many activities and places of interest in Clapham or adjacent to the village. The area is popular with cavers and is well known for its pot holes. Ingleborough Mountain being one of attractions along with Fell Beck and the Gaping Gill pot hole which forms one of Britain’s largest underground chambers.

There are numerous cafes, restaurants and inns offering refreshment, along with many shops selling local produce and fresh provisions. There are also many hotels, and guest houses offering an excellent range of accommodation if required.

The scenery is breathtaking and ideal for a gentle walk in many miles of natural, unspoilt countryside or for the more energetic you can cycle on the many tracks or hike. Activity centres also provide extra attractions for the more enthusiastic who like an organised event.
