Our skilled handlers will explain why the birds hunt and fly as they do, where they come from in the wild and how they are trained.

Falconry UK's "introduction to falconry experience" offers a unique insight into the art of falconry. Throughout the experience, emphasis is "hands on" and you will be given the chance to handle many different species of raptors. The birds used on the experience days are owls, hawks, buzzards and eagles.

The day begins with a tour of the centre where you will be introduced to the birds that you will be encountering on the experience. You will be shown different techniques for handling birds of prey safely which will be followed by a step-by-step guide to training a bird of prey.
