Hawes National Park Centre is home to a fascinating museum, telling the story of the Dales folk, past and present.
The Hawes National Park Centre is based in the Dales Countryside Museum in the east of the town of Hawes.
The purpose-built Centre has a local crafts and information area as well as providing community, educational and conference facilities in a small market town location.
All of the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority's National Park Centres are also networked tourist information centres.
They offer a wide range of services, these include a local and national accommodation booking service, sales of maps, books and souvenirs and information for visitors and locals. They even provide daily weather forecasts for the immediate area.
