Ingleborough Cave is just breathtaking. A vast underground labyrinth of passages, decorated with stunning stalactites and stalagmites, created by nature to be enjoyed by mankind. These amazing formations are well worth visiting.

Ingleborough Show Cave is an amazing place to visit, set within the wonderful Yorkshire Dales in the village of Clapham. The cave is relatively easy to find being situated between Ingleton and Settle, just off the A65.

Ingleborough Cave was first entered and made navigable many years ago, back in 1837. This is the premier show cave in the Yorkshire Dales and has been seen on TV many times. During the past 175 plus years, visitors have always left in awe. The cave has visitors entranced by its unique cave formations and large passages.

Tours of the cave take around half an hour and leave on a regular basis. Tours are lead by an expert guide to interpret the unusual features within the cave for you. The guide will do all they can to answer any questions you may have.

There are no steps within the cave so access is easy, even for people with young children in push chairs. The passages are well floodlit giving guests the chance to take in as much as possible on the tour.

Well behaved dogs are welcome, but they must remain on a lead at all times.

The walk from Clapham Village to the cave is also a very enjoyable one, with many interesting features along the way. There are Himalayan Plantings with some unusual trees species along the way. The walk is relaxing and enjoyable on your way to the cave.
