Wherever you visit in the countryside the farmers market is always a favourite place to pick up some of the finest home produce. The North York Moors is no exception, with a number of Certified Farmers Markets in the area it is always worth finding out when and where they are being held.
Welcome to the home of the Northern Dales Farmers Markets. We are dedicated to bringing you the best quality, locally sourced produce. We hold markets in Stokesley, Richmond, Leyburn, Northallerton, Hartlepool, Settle, Grassington, Ripon and Skipton.
We have a fantastic and diverse range of stallholders who are all extremely knowledgeable and passionate about their produce. We look forward to seeing you at a market soon.
Our policy on traders for the Northern Dales Farmers Markets is as follows:
Produce should be locally grown or produced. 'Local' means within 50 miles of the market. All producers must live within 100 miles of the market.
- Where there is space at the market, producers within the local area will receive preference.
- Stalls must be staffed by someone who is directly involved in growing, raising or producing the goods on sale.
- No bought- in produce may be resold without further processing. Wherever possible, processed goods should contain local ingredients ( at least 10%)
- Wherever possible genetically modified produce should be avoided.
