Full Description:
Reeth is located about half a mile above where both the river Swale and the river Arkle come together. It enjoys a position that is slightly elevated to the south and therefore presents a wonderful outlook with pretty views of the neighborhood and town. The hamlet of Reeth also includes Fremlington and Healaugh and is steeped in history.

Reeth and Fremlington are ideal bases for exploring the Yorkshire Dales National Park they are peaceful and secluded there are local amenities and lots of beautiful and scenic attractions within reach. Local accommodation is available.

Every Friday there is the town market and Reeth also holds various fairs throughout the year. Close to Healaugh there is a field call Hallgarth where the remains of a house lay, parts of which are still visible today. The house was believed to have been owned by lord of the manor John of Gaunt Duke of Lancaster.

There are also several remains of entrenchments one called Maidens castle another one passes right through Fremlington and is believed to be dated back to Roman times, pieces of armor have been discovered there.
