Details for The Priest House Restaurant

The Priest House Restaurant
Dining at the Priest House Restaurant

The historic Priest House Restaurant and Tea Room commands a superb location, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The stunning building has a special atmosphere all of its own and the medieval influence is evident in the themed evenings held regularly in the restaurant.

This looks more like a Castle than a restaurant, but the truth is that the Priest House Restaurant sits in the shadow of Bardon Towers which is a historic ruin, the restaurant itself is a Grade 1 listed building and the food could also be given a grade one listing.

This restaurant comes into its own in the evening with candlelight and torches adding to the already cosy atmosphere and of course the final touch being a real fire burning merrily in the hearth but no matter what time of day you come, please make sure you make a reservation first.

The first thing to be noted is the prices, they are fantastic and you will pay more than this at your local eateries which will not provide the same location or atmosphere never mind the food.

The first course offers you such delicacies as Scottish Mussels in white wine to Baked French Goats Cheese plus tomatos. Make sure you don't fill yourself up on the first course as there is so much more to go at.

The main course of your choice could be Belly pork slow roasted with cider gravy or you might fancy the stuffed mushrooms with spinach, these are just a couple of the many many choices on the menu, you will have to come and see for yourself.

There is a Steak Menu if you fancy getting stuck in and a Sunday Lunch Menu.  The evening menu is different than the lunch time menu and is changed on a monthly basis, good excuse to come back for more, so please do.
