The White Bear Restaurant is situated in the pretty, bustling market town of Masham in the foothills of the Yorkshire Dales. It is the perfect base to discover one of the most beautiful areas in Britain.

We have everything to make your visit to us perfect. You may wish to dine with us, hold your
meeting in purpose-built surroundings, celebrate an important day in your life, or just have a drink with some of the locals in the bar.

We have a happy team of talented chefs, who love preparing locally sourced ingredients
and creating delicious dishes.

We offer everything from sandwiches and soup in the bar at lunchtime, to a full menu in our dining room - both lunch and dinner. Menus are varied and, because we use locally sourced produce, they are seasonal too. Our extensive wine list complements our menus.

The Public Bar remains the inner sanctum of the White Bear Hotel. It may be regularly re-decorated but never refurbished, it is a bar which has stood the test of time and continues to do so.  

We have been awarded the Cask Marque for the quality of our cask ales and we often feature in the Good Beer Guide. The atmospheric tap room is a very popular meeting venue for locals and visitors alike.
