Quiet roads

The diverse landscape of the Yorkshire Dales, with all its hills and dales, bridleways and tracks is suitable for cyclists of all ages and experience. The quiet lanes are perfect for families and the rocky hill climbs are better suited to skilled mountain bikers.

If you are considering a cycling holiday there are a number of organisations offering helpful advice on equipment and road safety before you go, and local Tourist Information Centres throughout the region stock a comprehensive range of maps, transport timetables and local weather information.

Grassington is a perfect place to stay as a base as there are plenty of family friendly, less busy routes leading from the village centre.
