Clapham
Clapham is a stunning village located in the Yorkshire Dales at the foot of Ingleborough Mountain, which is one of the famous Three Peaks. Through the centre of the village runs Clapham Beck, this emerges from the hillside above and includes Englands highest waterfall at the spectacular Gaping Gill.
The village is very popular with climbers, walkers and tourists and there is a wide choice of accommodation available, making it a perfect base from which to explore the rest of the Dales. The area is also popular with cavers and is well known for its pot holes, in fact Clapham has one of Britain's largest underground chambers at the base of Gaping Gill.
