Gilling West

The pretty village of Gilling West is situated on the northern fringe of the Yorkshire Dales, close to both Richmond and Scotch Corner. It is perfectly positioned for exploring the dales and there are several mapped walks leading out into the stunning countryside. Buildings in the village hold some historical interest for visitors and date back to the 16th Century, some are mentioned in the doomsday book. There are also picturesque cottages and a traditional village green.
