Haworth

Haworth is a bustling village situated high on the stunning Pennine Moors in the Yorkshire Dales. This picturesque village is internationally famous for its connection with the Bronte sisters, two of the country's most recognised novelists. Haworth Parsonage is a well visited site of historical interest and is now maintained by the Bronte society, one of the oldest literary societies in the world. It has been renamed the Bronte Parsonage Museum.

Bronte Stone Chair. The Stone Chair is apparently the location where the sisters used to take turns to sit and compose their earlier works. The Bronte Walk leads on to the moors and to Ponden Hall, which is regarded by many as the inspiration for Thrushcross Grange in Emily Bronte's ‘Wuthering Heights.'

The village has many souvenir and antique shops, as well as numerous booksellers, in keeping with Haworth's literary tradition.There is also a regular market.
