Swaledale
Swaledale is a stunning village set in moorland in the north of the Yorkshire Dales. Situated on the eastern side of the Pennines the area is mainly made up of limestone ridges and lush green meadows, the countryside is filled with wild flowers and dotted around there are pretty dry stone walls and farm buildings. A number of small waterfalls tumble down the hillsides, creating breathtaking views. Sheep farming is the mainstay industry and traditional farmers breed the famous round horned Swaledale Sheep and produce wool and Swaledale Cheese from ewe's milk.
